The story of Scarlett and Rosie March, two highly-skilled sisters who have been hunting Fenris (werewolves) – who prey on teen girls – since Scarlett lost her eye years ago while defending Rosie in an attack. Scarlett lives to destroy the Fenris, and she and Rosie lure them in with red cloaks, though Rosie hunts more out of debt to her sister than drive.
But things seem to be changing. The wolves are getting stronger and harder to fight, and there has been a rash of news reports about countless teenage girls being brutally murdered in the city.

BLATANT BOOKWORM
This is a paranormal fairytale with teeth.
Think Buffy with evil werewolves and two badass sisters, add in Silas, their equally awesome (and hot!) werewolf hunter, and you’ve got a general idea of what this story is about.
Werewolves (fenris- such a better name) are truly nefarious monsters. Scarlett and Rosie narrate and the reader rallies behind them because they are strong and unique individuals. Making the action full of gusto and gore. Silas (the love interest)knows the sisters and helps them to gain their goals (with out having a 'damsel-in-distress' problem) and he is simply –great!
Pearce has created a book that is refreshingly dark in tone.
A book for fans of paranormal, modern re-tellings, siblings or strong female heroes.
COVER KISSER
Once I opened Sisters Red, that was it; I couldn’t put it back down.
Think Buffy with evil werewolves and two badass sisters, add in Silas, their equally awesome (and hot!) werewolf hunter, and you’ve got a general idea of what this story is about.
Scarlett and Rosie March are two sisters that have grown up fending for themselves after their grandmother was eaten by a wolf. The wolves are Fenris, who love to devour beautiful young women, and are attracted to the colour red.
Scarlett is the older sister, with an unrivalled passion for hunting the wolves that took her grandmother’s life. Physically scarred by many years of fighting them, she’s determined to save as many young girls as she can.
Rosie, the younger sister, is less experienced, but unscarred and beautiful. She feels a sense of duty to her sister, who she owes her life to. In comes Silas, who has been Scarlett’s skilful partner in hunting Fenris. As Silas and Rosie fall in love, Scarlett discovers something about Silas that could change everything.
I love the way that Jackson Pearce has merged the Fenris into our world. She combines elements of the fairy tale ’Little Red Riding Hood’ and various other werewolf folklore into a type of werewolf that is uniquely her own, and very evil indeed.
The growing and changing relationships between Scarlett, Silas and Rosie are finely drawn together in a realistic way that allows the reader to interpret subtle feelings within them. It’s not overt, but it’s powerful. Scarlett’s self doubts are ones that I could empathise with, and they made her character all the more realistic. She’s a strong-willed hunter, yet through the magic of Pearce’s pen, I could relate to her.
I also adored the clever names Pearce has thoughtfully conjured up for the sisters. They both mean ’red’, but Scarlett’s name is illustrative of her wounds, and Rosie’s tells us who she is: sweet, young, and innocent.
Throughout the story, little puzzle pieces are (metaphorically) handed to us, and they all fit together perfectly in the big twist at the end. I kinda had an inkling of what would happen, though, so it happened as less of a surprise for me.
This book is definitely the next big thing in Young Adult fiction, so grab it and kiss it while it’s red hot (bad pun very much intended).
Happy Reading,
Cover Kisser.
P.S. How very awesome is the front cover? It’s a perfect symbolic image of the relationship between the sisters, and the simple art is eye grabbing. I loved it!
AVOX GIRL
This is a moving story of sisterhood and sticking by friends no matter what. Although not my normal read, I thoroughly enjoyed this enchanting story of sisters Rosie and Scarlet and their friend Silas.
Seven years ago, Rosie and Scarlet lived through a terrifying and life-threatening attack by a werewolf, both sisters escaped with their lives though Scarlet lost an eye and has scars on her body that remind her every day of the attack. Ever since that day Scarlet has had her heart set on finding and killing werewolves. Rosie, feeling she owes Scarlet her life, follows in her sister’s footsteps.
Finding and Killing wolves in their small hometown is easy; hunting in the city where there journey will take them is a completely different story. When the news of a faze – a one month period in which a boy nicknamed ‘The Potential’ can be made into a wolf – reaches the sisters’ ears, a world will open full of new experiences for both Rosie and Scarlet. It will take all their might to keep young girls safe and track down The Potential. With the help of Silas, the girl’s mission is set.
Whilst I’m not really into werewolves, I was captivated by the memorable and moving story Jackson Pearce took me into. I recommend this book for any girls over 12 who like to flirt with danger!
RIVER
An amazing novel with enough action, friendship and romance to keep everyone interested. Any girl who likes a story about what goes boo in the dark should sink their teeth into this one.
UNDER THE COVERS
Little Red Riding Hood has a lot on her plate. Jackson Pearce's new book Sisters Red is a great mix of action and suspense with a bit of romance and sibling bonding to round it out. When more girls start disappearing, Rosie and Scarlett know the Fenris (werewolves) are behind it, and they, along with the hot Silas are the only ones that can do anything about it.
I found Sisters Red a refreshing change from the vampire craze that has swept the world of late. Great writing kept me reading until the end. I really liked that the bond between the sisters and the lengths you'd go to to protect someone you loved were realistic. A book that has something for everyone who likes their reading on the dark side.
ELLE MINKIE
Jackson Pearce has brought a seductive and razor-sharp twist to a classic fairytale. Scarlet and Rosie March, our little Riding Hoods in Red coats, are two very entertaining leading ladies in this epic story about the dark, dangerous secrets of the world we live in. These girls are not a force to be reckoned with, as a pair or individually, they are as red hot and lethal as the Fenris they hunt.
What's more, the hearts of these sisters are so strong it's hard to escape once they draw you in...and if that's not enough, the passion building between Rosie and the sisters' long time partner in hunting Silas Reynolds should satisfy your desire for romance.
For the gorgeous girls in red, who refuse to wait for their woodsman to rescue them, this book will set your world ablaze.
Elle Minkie... ;) just for fun.
